James joined Rufus Leonard 11 years ago from brand consultancy Wolff Olins, where he specialised in interactive design and brand origination. His experience includes designing websites and interactive products for clients such as Waitrose, John Lewis and the British Tourist Authority. Most recently, James was the creative lead for the rebrand of Lloyds Bank, leading the team and multiple agencies that created the bank's new visual identity.

As Executive Creative Director, James is responsible for understanding client business objectives and creating a brand which delivers real value and worth. He has worked with a wide range of clients across a variety of sectors from financial services to telecommunications, including Lloyds TSB, Royal Mail, BT, Barclaycard and Shell Chemicals. He works on both large scale brand development projects as well as smaller, more tactical assignments.
